This is an excellent workout video. As someone over 70, I find that I can do all the exercises at one of the three levels. It would also be very useful to anyone with an office job. All major muscle groups are worked as well as emphasis on improving balance, posture and relaxing tension. Highly recommended.

I find myself looking forward to this workout. It’s divided into sections (upper, lower body, and abs.) so I can do the whole workout or use different parts on alternate days. Because advanced, moderate, and beginner are shown at the same time, it’s easy to choose what works for me. I enjoy the short interjections about the positive aspects of working out while the full screen continues the routine. Certainly anyone who is just starting out, or over 50, would find this a worthwhile workout.

After going through the upper body and abs routine, I felt that I hadn’t really done anything and even thought to myself that I should start doing my weights again. However, by that evening and the next morning especially, I actually felt like I had had a good workout. I could feel the muscles in my abs (even my lower abs), arms, and back. I didn’t do any of the advanced moves, so now I’m looking forward to incorporating them into the routine.

RECENTLY I PURCHASED THIS EXCELLENT DVD AFTER WATCHING PART OF IT ON OUR LOCAL PBS STATION, REALIZING I NEEDED A PROGRAM THAT WOULD ALLOW ME TO GO AT MY OWN PACE AND WORK ON BALANCE. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD PROBLEMS WITH EXCERCISE BECAUSE OF BACK ISSUES BUT REALIZED I NEEDED TO DO THEM ANY WAY. THIS DVD ALLOWES ME TO DO JUST THAT BECAUSE IT LETS ME STRETCH WITHOUT THE STRAIN. i WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WITH OR WITHOUT ISSUES TO CONSIDER. IT WILL ALLOW ME TO MAKE PROGRESS AS I’M ABLE AND EVEN SHOWS HOW TO RAISE THE INTENSITY WHEN I’M READY TO MOVE ON.

I have 4 other workout videos by Joel Harper. This is my favorite. It’s simple to follow, and each exercise can be performed at very-beginner to very-experienced level and multiple places in between. Some exercises from other videos are repeated but given a fresh and different twist. I love the way Joel is just a regular guy, but he knows his stuff well, is passionate about it and wants to share it because he truly wants people to be healthy. Like his other videos, the time flies, and I’m always left feeling like I got a great workout, but didn’t have to kill myself. And my trainer is never irritating!
